Was TOTALLY embarrassed to show up to THE fashion wedding of the season (Hanne Gaby Odeile marrying her Alexander Wang ad campaign cohort John Swiatek) EARLY. UGH. Not fashionably late, not late, not pedestrian but polite ON TIME, but EARLY. I tried to play it cool and make myself useful while the bridal party finished up their sheet masks by offering to tend to the flowers and the puppies. (Barn weddings ARE back but with the caveat that you decorate with live animals – livestock for moody photos, puppies and kittens because people don’t want to pet livestock).
On Molly: Kendall + Kylie Lace Babydoll Dress; Jimmy Choo Maurice Booties.
I like to wear things my main man got me to weddings. I’m not sure why, but the reason is definitely something about LOVE.
Two things to discuss.
ONE: Kendall + Kylie. You guys. This dress is bomb. They did a great job (hiring a person to design it.) I LOVE the Lip Kits. I think Kendall is a GREAT model. I kind of WANT to be a hater. But I can’t. I love those Kardashian/Jenners. (Though there is some concern about intellectual property re: those Lip Kits that I should probably dig into.)
TWO: THE DRESS FROM THIS WEDDING. Alexander Wang designed. Every detail is the best detail. High waisted pants on all those legs, pooling around the bottom. Bra/bustier/some sort of cropped, embellished top. Racerback overdress/slip situation?! It’s too much! (Read: It’s perfect.) There was also a cape for the walk down the aisle. It’s everything, no?
Needless to say, I had a GREAT TIME.
